Visa to Denmark and other Schengen Countries

Application for VISA to Denmark must be delivered by appearance in person to The Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing or to a Royal Danish Consulate General. Applicants from provinces covered by a Consulate General must address their application to this Consulate. Please observe which provinces that are covered by the Consulates.

Applications received by mail without prior consent by the Embassy will not be processed.

Applications should be submitted as early as possible as processing may take 5-8 weeks.

“Please note that when a visa has been granted applicants are required to show the below documents in original in order to obtain their passport and visa:

A valid return airplane ticket (including one photocopy).

A valid health insurance (including one photocopy) covering any costs that may arise in connection with acute medical assistance and/or urgent hospital treatment and repatriation for medical reasons before receiving the visa. The insurance must be valid and payable in all the Schengen Member States, during the entire period of the person’s stay and with a minimum coverage of 30.000 euros.”

Consulate Generals

The Royal Danish Consulate General in Hong Kong covers the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region .

The Royal Danish Consulate General in Shanghai covers the provinces of Anhui, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shanghai and Zhejiang.

The Royal Danish Consulate General in Guangzhou covers the Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and Hainan.

Mongolian VISA applicants

VISA applicants in Mongolia can submit they applications to the Honorary Consul in Ulaanbaatar. The application must be delivered by appearance in person.

Applications for Residence Permit (Studying)

Applications must be sumbitted to the embassy Monday-Thursday 09.00-11.00 a.m. At the same time the applicants will get an appointment for interview.

Interviews of applicants will be Monday-Thursday between 14.00 and 16.00.

Applicants in Mongolia must contact the Honorary Consul in Ulaanbaatar to set up an appointment for delivery of application and interview.
