All visa appointments scheduled now are actual appointments that may be rescheduled if applicants find prior appointments, but will not be canceled by the U.S. Embassy and Consulates outside of extraordinary circumstances , said the representative.

Anyone wishing to request an emergency appointment for a nonimmigrant visa must schedule a first-time (walk-in) appointment and then submit an emergency appointment request for review. “It must include relevant documentation. Remember that if your request is denied, you cannot go back to your original interview waiver appointment, but you can reschedule a new interview waiver appointment if you wish, but probably at a later date than your original appointment,” the rep said.
