The Korean Embassy in Manila will launch an online appointment system from Wednesday, September 4, which will allow those wishing to visit South Korea to obtain a visa by booking a time online and without having to line up outside the embassy. .
The Embassy will set up the website https://consul.mofa.go.kr/en/main.do as it will no longer accept walk-in visa applicants from Thursday, September 15.
Booking a visa appointment online will be an easy process. Applicants will only need to prepare their passport numbers, mobile phone number and email address.
Since Korean tourist visa applications through embassy-accredited agencies are allowed, people booking on behalf of other travelers through agencies should also prepare the same information.
There will be three time slots, according to the embassy.
• 8:30 a.m. will be dedicated to accredited travel agencies and individual applicants for Filipino spouses of Korean nationals or visiting family
• 9:30 a.m. will be for visa applicants as tourists, and
• 10:30 a.m. will be allocated for those traveling to South Korea for the purposes of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) or for official conferences, business, entertainment, sports, study, religious visits, foreign diplomats and international organizations as well as seasonal workers.
On the date of their appointment, candidates must bring a printed or electronic copy of their reservation confirmation sent by e-mail; a completed visa application form; required documents listed under https://overseas.mofa.go.kr/ph-en/brd/m_3277/list.do. ; and other identification documents apart from the passport.
