It’s not always about money or talent – Medikal shares a tip

Our source confirmed that the decision to fire him was linked to a gun-wielding incident for which he was convicted earlier this year.

Medikal, dressed in a black hoodie with a face mask, reportedly arrived at the embassy around 7:30 a.m., he was admitted to the facility and within an hour he would have known his fate.

Reports indicate that Medikal’s label mate Armani has also been fired.

Medikal had a brief exchange with fellow artist, Sarkodie, who was also on the scene with his wife and daughter for the same purpose.

Sarkodie and his family, who were in the immigration section of the embassy (American Citizens Service/ACS), according to our sources, obtained visas.

Medikal sentenced for public display of weapons

In September 2021, Medikal displayed a 9mm rugger pistol in his car without apology. He then posted a video of the arm on Instagram, which went viral and led to his arrest on October 21, 2021.

He was remanded in custody for five days, after which he was granted bail worth GH¢100,000 with bail.

In February 2022, an Accra Circuit Court found him guilty of unlawful public display of weapons.

Medikal was found guilty after changing his plea from not guilty to guilty on the charge.

The court presided over by His Honor Emmanuel Essandoh, subsequently sentenced the “La Hustle” hitman to 300 penalty units, which is equivalent to 3,600 GH₵. Otherwise, he will serve nine months in prison.
