India first country to implement paperless system from September
KUWAIT CITY, July 21: Criminal Record Check (PCC) for new expats entering Kuwait with new work or family visas will be approved online. From September, India will be the first country to implement this paperless system, later it will be implemented with all the countries with coordination between Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Kuwaiti embassies.
The new feature for those coming from India, from September on new work or family visas will need to submit their police clearance certificate (PCC) to the Kuwait Embassy in their home country, the Embassy of Kuwait will verify its authenticity and only after cross-checking it will be sent online to the Ministry of Interior of Kuwait to verify the valid sponsor or to verify if the visa is for a former resident of Kuwait.
This new paperless system is carried out by the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Director General of Residence Affairs, Brigadier Hamad Al-Tawala, his deputy, Brigadier Ali Al-Adwani, the Director of Central Administration, Colonel Musaed Al-Ajmi, the head of the conference department, Colonel Issa Al-Ziyadi, the directors of the departments in the governorates, their deputies and the staff of the department.
