MANILA, Philippines — The South Korean Embassy in Manila has announced that it will resume issuing tourist visas by June 1, 2022.
In a notice released on Thursday, the embassy said “the application and issuance of all types of visas, including tourist visas (C-3-9) will resume.”
Issuance of short-stay visas for tourism and tourism purposes was suspended in 2020 due to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the embassy, detailed information regarding the visa application procedure will be announced soon.
Meanwhile, multiple-entry visas issued before April 5, 2020 and which have not yet expired “can be used without further application”, the embassy added.
In addition, the embassy said an “isolation consent submission will no longer be required.”
In March, the Korea Tourism Organization announced that visitors to South Korea who have already been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be exempt from mandatory quarantine.
